It all depends on what you mean by modern: the wings are post war but could have been issued in the late 50s, private purchase IMO.

These are also shown in Oliver Lock's book, he describes them as faded from washing and exposure to the sun. Others believe they are of WW2 Italian production.

Hi Luc, I like your view only because I would like them To Be-WW2, perhaps someonecwill come along to verify completely, but they are Genuine! just to make sure? Billy

They don't look discoloured and certainly not WW2 by construction. Sorry Billy.
