Default 89 AGRA Formation Sign.

00.06.53. Military Heraldry Society publication ‘Formation Sign’ Issue 10, noted that prior to introduction of the horseshoe FS members of 89 AGRA wore a FS comprising yellow seaxes on blue.

Has anyone got any evidence to support this assertion please?

Thanks, Stephen.

In a word - No! But if it was a reported sighting in a very early "Formation Sign" I would be inclined to believe it. If not a sign for 89 AGRA(TA) it could possibly have been a regimental flash for the Essex Yeomanry in their Gunner incarnation. The colours suggest an RHA association.
