Default RAF cummerbund?

Would I be correct in assuming that this is an RAF cummerbund? If so, would it be for mess dress?

Also, would the Flight Engineer brevet and Flight Sgt rank patch be for mess dress or something else, bearing in mind that they have press stud type fastening?

Again, should date from 1940s-1950s.

Any information gratefully received...

Yes it looks like a Mess Dress cummerbund. The badges, rank and the engineer wing would be for use on tropical mess dress white jacket. It is unusual to see the crown shown as a shape, which is normally found on khaki working dress. I would think these are late 1940s early 1950s.
