Default Royal Welch Fusiliers Cap Badge

Hi,

Please could someone advise if this Royal Welch Fusiliers Cap Badge is real or a copy?

There are no sweat holes on the back and the crown is slightly crooked, i.e. not in line with the badge.

Could it be a badly manufactured badge or a fake?

Many thanks.

Strange and quite crude. I have never seen flames like that, which look more like a clam shell or something. Not a copy that I know, but not sure.

Poor quality WWI badge? Looks genuine.

Post 1920 with the C spelling. A well battered poorly made badge but I see no reason to doubt it being genuine.
