9th Gurkhas ERII (!)
Well here's something you don't see every day...
To the best of my knowledge the 9th Gurkha Rifles were handed over to India in 1948 following Partition. It does therefore seem "sporty" to say the least to find one with ERII's St Edward's Crown. Do we think this is just a case of rotating the 9 through 180 degrees to make the 6th Gurkha Rifles? |

Ah. The 9 is definitely a 9 as the lug is positioned such that it centralises as a 9 but squishes way over to the right as a 6.
New plan. Feed the 9 to the dog and give myself a Royal Gurkha Rifles! Were these w/m or anodised only? |

Turn the backing plate so that the current front is back, should fit.
