Default Monmouthshire Regiment

I have two Monmouthshire Regt Cap badges.

1. Are they original,
2. I have read on the Forum that the GM badge was worn from 1908. I am still unsure if the WM badge was worn during WW1 of just post?

Help gratefully received

Both look OK.

The wm one was worn 1908 onwards by 1st bn (possibly only in No1 dress)

During the war all bns were isused brass ones.

Post WW1 they wore the wreath version in brass and then in w/m.

I have always thought that they were worn in Service Dress too, there is certainly no shortage of them around these days.
