Pembird, thanks for showing the signals badges, not a type i've seen before, with the dark 'jimmy'. They however they look well made, likely an Officers, someone with more knowledge may comment. Did i see them with a blue backing? Is that a makers mark at the top? Regards Mark

Bottom right corner of the original picture:
As far as I am aware, there is no reason why these two items are together, id est, a collar badge for 7th - 9th Battalions Middlesex Regt and the Roman Numerals 1X, although obviously this does denote 9. Regards. Brian |

Para Badges
Pembird,
The para badge with the skull was incorrectly identified on the reverse. It is for the Special Operations Group of Zambia. Cannot claim knowledge of its authenticity. The para badge with wings and chute on a wreath with star at the top is the French Air Force's Test Parachutist qualification. I can't make out the hallmark on the wreath, but I would guess that the badge is good. Ian

All of the Vickers HG badges I've seen are hollow backed - I am guessing stamped. This is the first I've seen of a solid one, which I assume is cast. Seems to support Luke's thoughts that it is a fake. The stamped ones I've run across, which I believe to be real, usually run 100GBP and up.
