Corps of Commissionaires anodised
Gents, not my regular fayre, however, I couldn't walk past these ( you know how it is) as the larger it would appear has a kings crown cross belt badge ( and they were a couple of quid).
Following some research, am I right in saying that the Kings crown carried on being worn well after the coronation? I cant seem to see any of the large cross belt badges with a Queens crown Thanks chaps. |

QVC crossbelt badges were converted to K/C for Edward VII, then when dies were remade, replaced with a lower crowned badge with a K/C. They have stayed K/C through anodised and into new metal versions, of the same low crown design. No Q/C badges have ever been produced.
