Default Wanting inspiration? - Mirbat!

I though members may appreciate this docudrama
Understatements in abundance
One 'We are in the Sh*t', another 'I've been chinned' disguising true heroism

A few years later I worked with one Salim Mussalim (he was the Peking and Moscow trained Political Commissar of the Adoo group who attacked Mirbat). He was so unimpressed by his fellow fighters (and/or so impressed by the BATT) that after the battle he defected to the Sultan and was, when I met him an "officer" in the Oman Research Department. Incidentally he saved the life of a British Int Corps SNCO who was injured in his accommodation - Salim drove him literally single handed - the other hand holding Jim's wound - the three miles to RAF Salalah and the Field Surgical team.. He lived. You could not, as they say "make it up". Such was Oman.
