Some unusual Brassards
hi all
going through the boxes again today and found my brassard collection. there must be over 50, but i pulled out a few that i thought were a bit unusual. brassard 1 australian staff college. this i would think is rather uncommon and is one of my favourites. obviously pre 1953, but what year do you think? bc |

RAAF 75 sqd
a first pattern and genuine 75 sqd middle east brassard.
just before the squadron deployed from Australia, they wanted a patch to wear. they commissioned this patch, the squadrons standard design but on deseret cam. as they were unable to get the desert cam because it was a restricted material, the patch and subsequent disruptive pattern was fully embroidered. bc |

1911 coronation contingent
i believe several of the australian contingent would have worn one of these, but i dont think ive ever seen a pic of it being worn
unfortunately, part of the colour has run, but still a rare item |

That's a Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary brassard.
Not Australian ,not massively rare , but interesting . I would be interested if you ever part with it. Thanks steve |
