Default DZ / LZ flashes

Really nice display and comprehensive too. Just a few small points to help improve it:

Did you realise you have included the black 4 PARA DZ twice and missed out the green 3 PARA one?

The 16 Air Assault Brigade DZ (maroon and light blue stripes) should be vertical stripes rather than horizontal and VII Regt AAC have never been part of Airborne Forces.

Lastly, the flash you have labelled as 4 PARA pathfinders is 16 Company (hence the ‘XVI’). It is the same design as the one they wore when they were an Independent Pathfinder Company for 44 Parachute Brigade (V) in the 1970s but by the time they were part of 4 PARA in the 1990s they were just an ordinary rifle company again.

Hope that is helpful.

Not showing for me- have you made it a private album that you have to grant individual access to? Regards, Paul.

Am I making this up, or was not the Para Depot flash worn with a different orientation by the Para Battle School, Brecon? Or perhaps this was in the era of 16 Para Bde? Mike

Hello Mike,

Yes, you're quite correct, it was worn with a 90 degree left rotation by the Battle School. Not certain of the precise dates but would have been between 1967 and 1976.
