This is interesting. In the research and images there is little evidence of the 13th Bn wearing a plain number. Is this one maker marked on the reverse?

Bill, the reverse is plain.
I have 42nd & 73rd examples but this is the first 13th I have come across. Ron. |

Hi Ron,
How do we know this is a CEF number? Kind regards Dan |

Short answer is I don’t. Purchased from a Canadian dealer who described it as such, all his other items were CEF. Anyone suggest alternative attribution?

Yes, there are lots of possibilities. There is the 13th Regiment, or a Field Battery, or any number of units that were 13.Eg, CFA, or CASC, or CAMC.
