Default Unification Air Force Cap Badge and Collars

The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) came into existence in 1924. With the completion of the CF unification in 1968, the three branches of service of the Canadian military were merged into the Canadian Forces (CF)

Since 1975, the modern Canadian Air Force has been known as Canadian Forces Air Command (AIRCOM). The AIRCOM still refers to itself as the "Air Force" and maintains many of the traditions of the RCAF.

Now that it out of the way... Here are the enameled Cap Badge and Collar Badges of the Air Force, as worn by my father, for as long as I can remember.

Although I have never been a fan of Unification, I have to say that the Enameled badges of the CF are about the most beautiful badges I have ever seen.

In general the post unification badges are simply gorgeous, however the original CAF badges are incredibly beautiful.
