Default RCAF Kings Crown type 2 badge

Just got this badge in the post today. I had to actually go to the post office to get this one, as it came in a parcel.

This badge has some good honest wear from polishing. Not something I would normally seek as they are fairly common, but something about this one just struck a spot with me.

There are many differences between the 1st type and 2nd type badges, but for me the most noticeable thing is the lower part of the "F" does not touch the wreath.

I have studied the images in Mazeas reference book concerning the 2nd Type badge and the Trinity College School Badge, an I think they are the same.

I have to wonder what this means. Did the Trinity College use the 2nd Type Badge?? or is the 2nd Type badge a Trinity College School Badge??

Can anyone here offer their opinion please??
