Default What was my Grandmother in?

My Grandmother hailed from Hunslet in Yorkshire and, according to a cousin of mine was a Salvation Army nurse in World War One. I’ve searched a large number of images via Google but not one carries the “CC” I’m trying to identify on her collar. Can anyone help?
If I’ve done this correctly there’ll be an attached image!
Thanks

Hi

I have a small round enamel badge in blue and red that is more or less the same "C C" surrounded by a wreath. It will be in the "what the heck is this box?" but I'll dig it out.

Hi,
"C C" is possibly Citadel Corps.
Cheers, John

Just from the photograph, I would say that your cousin is right!

Thank you all very much for your help, especially to Mike for solving the puzzle AND locating the patch on eBay (which I’ve bought) AND the photograph.

Thanks

An early photo (c.1900) showing the "CC" patch worn on a sleeve.

"...a corps cadet , with CC arm patch".

P.S Neck/collar badges worn were either shield or S.A badge.

For some reason, probably the way I’m doing it, my replies of thanks don’t appear to be making it to the thread so trying it this way - thank you all very much for your replies. I’m very impressed by the rapid, informative, and friendly responses.
Thanks

Have you considered contacting the Salvation Army to find out about your grandmother ?

Although they are closed at the moment , due to Covid , their website has downloadable information about how to trace the records of Officers.

Subject Guide 2: Officer records
A guide to tracing records of Salvation Army ministers, known as officers

Mike, yes I did. I discovered that the greater part of their personnel records were destroyed in WW2, but some of their officer records escaped the blitz. I hadn't considered a Cadet was potentially an officer. I'll have a look.
Thanks

Hi all

On the hunt for my enamel badge that has a blue background with the "C C" picked out in red. Photo to follow.

It had always puzzled me so now I can "put that one to bed"!
