RCT/ RLC Seaman/Mariner badges
Hi, have a question I hope can be answered? Royal Corps of Transport/Royal Logistics Corps Seamen (or later Seaman Navigator, and now Mariner) wear a navy blue pullover with their working dress (originally naval No 8/4 Action Working Dress, and later Olive lightweight trousers/shirt and presently MTP dress), on which they wear the army maritime fleet ensign patch on each arm, but can anyone tell me what pattern rank chevrons are/were worn in both RCT and RLC? additionally what colour or sort of epaulette slide is/was worn and do they wear staybright RLC/RCT shoulder titles? lastly, the ocean watchkeeper qualification badge, worn on the cuff, what rank would have worn this badge?
Many thanks Tony |

The Post & Maritime Squadron wore white tape chevrons on their blue shirts. With MTP it is standard RLC insignia. https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/c...-p-m-regiment/ Alan Last edited by Alan O; 29-03-23 at 07:53 AM. |
