Default welsh horse collar brooch conversion

A recent buy from the net, Welsh Horse collar badge converted to a brooch fitting, probably as a sweetheart as the remains of the lugs feel pretty solid and have been used to mount the pin fitting and one has been cut to use as the catch.

Hi Jerry

I use to have a Welsh Horse cap badge, but I give to my friend to go with the Welsh Horse medals he had.

I don't remember the information on the medal, has it was a while back.

I can see my your avatar, you are interested in 38th Welsh Division.

Regards
Gerwyn

Gerwyn, the avatar is the patch for the south wales district during WWII

Welsh Horse medals fetched a premium price, I have quite a few great war medals for may of the various welsh regiments but none for the welsh horse.

Hi Jerry

Thank you for replying.

Sorry about getting your avatar wrong, but it did look like the 38th Division.

The gentleman who had the Welsh Horse Medals, lives in Aberdare, since all this shutdown, I've not been in contact with him.

I have my Great Uncles medals from WW1, he served with the 15th (Carmarthenshire) Battalion, Welsh Regiment.
Regards
Gerwyn
