I found the helmet with lion badge in my files but have never seen one. Is it Tasmanian? Perhaps someone may recognise it as British.
The crown badge is very well made in WM and very large (40mm wide and 32mm high), very similar but not identical to the crown on the buckle. Does anyone know who might have worn it?

It looks like the South African Constabulary helmet plate.

SAC did not have helmets or helmet plates but I do see the similarity in the lion on this HP vs. the lion on the SAC cap badges.
