Default Chrome RNZEME

I've just acquired this badge here in UK. Standard RNZEME cap badge which has been chromed, maker JR Gaunt London, and fixings are screw posts. Any ideas? Pouch badge, or buckle maybe or maybe a band badge? Any help appreciated.

I've asked about a couple of different ones that I have, RAOC, Paras and Life a Guards and was told that they were produced for car badges.
Cheers
Sean

Standard cap badge size - 30mm x 48mm. I should add that the screws are 12mm long.

Possibly a badge from an army plaque shield.

Could be, but it seems to fit the bill for a JR Gaunt car badge.
The chromed British unit badges minus their backing plates turn up for sale regularly in the UK.

Could be for a car badge, but not so common here in New Zealand, however hat and collar badges are often displayed on plaques.

I think the car badge is probably the right conclusion so I'll go with that. Thanks for all the replies.

Guys,
a quick pic of my only NZ Car Badge - to the Royal NZ Engineers Corps...
90mm Wide by 130mm High (including stand, but not bolt), and heavy!!!!

This has been the only Corps one I have seen and had a chance to buy.

All the best
James
