University of Toronto COTC Button - British & Commonwealth Military Badge Forum

I picked this up recently and it is the first one that I have encountered (which really means nothing). It was manufactured by P.W. Ellis in Toronto and has a "floppy" shank vice a fixed one. My questions are what period is it from, World War I or after, and is it University of Toronto COTC as I have deduced?

I think you can comfortably assume it's for the U of Toronto; and since Ellis made items aren't encountered after WWI it's also safe to assume it's from the Great War era.
