Default Unknown Cast Badge or Plaque, Middle Eastern?

This roughly cast item was among a group of mixed WW2 British badges I recently picked up and was wondering if anyone could identify whether it has a Military connection or indeed, where it is from.

No evidence of any fittings to the reverse and measures 40 mm at its longest point.

Have searched for Crown, Crescent and Star but this throws so many results it makes its pointless.

(Will move it on if it is indeed Military related).

Simon.

I would say that the crown was Prussian and the Star and Crescent Turkish so probably a Great War item to do with the Turkish- German alliance.

Many thanks for the images, certainly comparing the component parts looks a good match.

I'll see what I can find on the net regarding Egyptian Forces.

Regards Simon.
