If people are looking for appraisals maybe they should have to have 100 postings or make a donation for Help for heroes
Sharing data on projects is some thing different and easily recognisable from some touting for an appraisal.

There would be no legal obligations on the moderators at all outside of their own postings. There are definitely obligations on the poster of the material though. This is being proved time and time again with legal actions brought against individual members of the Facebook and Twitter communities.

Regarding the opening post; I don't understand it. If you click on a few of AndyD's threads and you don't like what you see, you don't bother clicking on any more and find some other thread to read do you not?
