Default Unknown buttons - London Made - Australian WW1 vet

Hi working on research relating to my grandfather, an Australian Day 1 Gallipoli vet who survived and went on to fight in Europe (France & Belgium) His AIF service number was 30 ....... obviously he was very keen to fight for Britain and his own country. The attached images appear to be buttons which I located amongst his original WW1 medals with some other small personal military items. 20200511_160028.jpg

The buttons appear to be brass, the front of the button has a side-on image of a camel with a scroll above it bearing the word : " PATIENTIA " The rear of the button has the maker's information; " NUTTING " "King Street Covent Garden"

Obvious guess would be 'Camel Corps' but a couple of points cast doubt on this.

1. NUTTING (also Nutting & Co /Nutting & Son) manufactured Military/Livery buttons at King Street , Covent Gardens London from 1800 - 1840 and were then "Amalgamated with Sherlock & Co".

2. There is a print in The British Museum London titled "Thomas Rowcroft ('A Royal Exchange Consul General')". Below the title, like a crest, is a camel and the motto Patientia. 1824

So it appears the camel/Patientia insignia was in use well before WW1.
