Victorian Duke of Cornwall's Lt Inf cap badge
Recently purchased this Victorian Duke Of Cornwall's badge. I don't think it is a fake one but asking for opinions to confirm one way or the other, just in case it needs to go back.
Thanks Myles DSCF4129.jpg DSCF4128.jpg |

Agreed. Worn circa 1896-1901 (Ivall). Also seen with the two bottom lugs turned 90 degrees to facilitate a horizontal pin. The same strike in white metal would appear to be more difficult to find.

Looks like the one eBay seller ‘capbadges79’ has had listed for a while. It’s fine, perhaps just not the best example of that particular badge but I would not doubt it’s authenticity.

Thanks for the replies, I will be keeping it. Last one of a small Victorian collection.
