Default 1914 Brooch bar?

Hi

I listed this under another post but realise it probably should be in this column.

Any suggestions? The poor man's Mons Star clasp? Some service bar for The Primrose League?

Maker's mark on both is: S.Mc L. & Co

Answers on a field service postcard!

Hi

I think Queen Mary Needlework badges have bars similar to this?? Although they may be white, come to think of it

Cheers, Tim

Hi Tim

Much appreciated! I think that the blue enamel colour seems to have been the preserve of war service linked items but not exclusively of course.

I say that with no particular proof but based on looking at one heck of a lot of badges of this ilk and blue often dominates.

Many of the OWS badges (official and private issue) feature blue and white (blue outer, white inner) but logically red gets a look in too!
