Default 1st Btn Lancashire Volunteers Cap Badge

I realise these are massively faked. I have got some. But I recently acquired this one. It does not resemble any of the "100% Genuine" ones on Ebay and other sites.
Any info would be much appreciated, even if it is to tell me it is duff.
Also has anyone got an image of a known good one please for comparison.

The main differences are:
1. Slider
2. No S in Volulteer(S)
3. Large gap between 47 & A
4. The Band of the crown has alternative Diamonds and Rectangles and two rows. Most others have Hollow diamonds and Ovals in a single row.
5. The edge of the crown is sharp, no casting left.
6. The Lancashire Rose is smaller
7 Slight crease mark at the bend of the Slider.
I cannot find another like this one.
There is wear to the high spots which I believe is age rub wear.
The last photo is of a known fake.

Many thanks

Congratulations. You have acquired an actual ‘100% Genuine’ badge.

Smudger,

As Luke says, 100% genuine; a beauty!

If you search on "VTC" in Albums, you'll find a couple of albums of mine that feature this badge. The first is VTC badges that feature in "K&K", and the other illustrates the differences between genuine VTC badges and "Common Fakes".

Best regards,

Tim

So is "Smudger 53" J.D.R.'s latest reincarnation on the forum?

I don't believe this to be original, the quality is awful IMHO.
