Hallamshire rifles buckle
hi all
found the female part of a hallamshire rifles buckle. whitemetal and seems to be of the victorian early 20c type. can anyone tell me about the unit and does anyone have a pic of a complete buckle, or know what the male part would look like. i assume it would just be a crown? bc Last edited by badgecollector; 25-01-09 at 12:24 PM. |

Here is something on troops raised in the Sheffield area, known at one time as the Hallamshire Rifles:

I once had an example of a complete Hallamshire Rifles waist belt clasp,it was actually the smallest size WBC I have ever seen but the centre was a design of crossed arrows from memory and not a crown.
