5 badges - fake or not?
Could anyone confirm if these badges are genuine? If so, would like to know their era and background please.

Those with the shield are South African, thus better ask in that part of the forum.
The horse is Indian, thus better ask in that part of the forum.

Might help if you did try to post your photos up the right way. You’ve put enough up now to be able to have an idea how to do it.

I can't control the orientation of the pictures I upload either. There has been a thread on this before. I think it is when certain device types or browsers are used.

Phil, Do you have ay kind of edit feature you can click on? That is how I turn pictures on my system. If you do and can't figure it out, let's chat and I'll try to take you through it.

Hi Phil, the shields are South African PAG(Prince Alfred's Guard) worn from 1902. I think that they are still worn. With lugs on they are probably pre 1980's. They are collar badges. Regards Andrew

Thank you for information.
As for the orientation of photos, I have tried editing but that doesn't seem to work. There is an inexplicable randomness from gallery on my phone and postings on forum. I would appreciate any positive advice on this issue. |

Have you tried editing the photos on your phone before posting or is that they appear the right way up on the phone and just upload sideways to this site?

A photo may be oriented correctly yet be turned on forum.

I would say, just from the photographs that all are original.

Haven’t got a clue why it’s doing that other than it may have something to do with the size of the jpeg.
