Well, never mind, Luc, at least you can claim, quite rightly and fairly, that you were not aware, I dare say there are a number of people on here, who could not and would not make any such claim, a brief glance at their collection might prove interesting, although, I suspect disappointing too!

I am ashamed to confirm I was the underbidder.
I do not deal with JDR, ever, period, but I was totally unaware he was listing using an alias.

Hi Steve,
I think if you are buying badges of any type, I couldn't understand why you wouldn't be a member here. Peoples knowledge is huge, and they are very helpful, my original question a case in point. Researching is the key whether it be books or asking people on here.

Totally agree Gary, though there are times when even on here incorrect information is given.
Though over all the majority of advice is helpful, and as you point out there is a lot of knowledge on here with kind individuals always on hand to help !
And we are a welcoming group of people on here !!!
Cheers
Steve

Luc, Garry,
Can anyone of you provide a link to that title?
Thanks!

Gary1666,

To answer your question about a good starter reference book on SF badges, I’d recommend “Some Talk of Private Armies,” by Len Whittaker. A thin book, but with well written summaries and an excellent photo section at the back of the book.

Cheers,
Donovan
