Wiltshire IY Slouch hat badge
Wiltshire IY Slouch hat badge showing the all brass feathers.
It's a plain brass PofW feathers above the IT title. Whlst this hat was for wear with khaki drab, contemporary photos show the Sqn in No 1 dress with pill box hats and FSC. |

Is that a rosette specific to the Wiltshire IY? ....... or just an IY rosette worn by the Wilts IY?
The common rosette was red on blue with just a brass POWFs with a brass IY below it for general use.

It belongs to one of the Wilts Yeomanry Sqns in the Royal Wessex Yeomanry.

Is this in one of the Swindon Museums or at one of the Drill Halls.
The Regiment has a lot more material in storage but has never been able to secure space in a Museum to display it. I know the Regimental Archivist if he would agree with that title. |
