Default Patrol Armlets

In my stores list for 1944 two Patrol Armlets are listed.
Armlet, Patrol Pattern 37 7/4d
Armlet, Patrol Pattern 168 6/6d

Does anyone know the difference between the two armlets?
Brayley features a pattern 37 on page 154 of his navy uniform book.
I presume this is a type with three rows of snap fasteners?
Is the cheaper pattern a simple buckle and strap?

Any information or photos of serving examples welcome.
Barry
