Does anyone have any pictures of any of these badges being worn? Can't find any mention on the web.

If you can locate a copy of The New Guinea Volunteer Rifles NGVR 1939-1943, A History by Ian Downs, Pacific Press, 1999, it has a photo of the embroidered NGVR badge on p80, although not being worn, and stated to be manufactured by the Chinese tailors. On page 223, and also p274 are the same photos of a member of the unit with this title being worn, difficult to see but distinguishable enough.

On p200 is a photo of a man wearing the metal title, you are looking down on him but the title is distinguishable enough.

Couldn't see the New Guinea title in any of the photos but do have the GRO stating that its use was unauthorised and was to cease.
