Hi Iain, it's the Shanghai Volunteer Corps Armoured Car Company, can't remember whether it is a collar or arm badge , the latter I think, best wishes Mike

Hi Iain, being in Shanghai they were all relatively rich Europeans so had lots of insignia made. The cap and collars were made by a local jeweller in silver with quite distinctive lugs also a lot were put on silver ware, cigarette cases etc. Which has reminded me the badge you show is an arm badge, it some times comes with a red cloth backing, hope this helps, best wishes Mike

Hi Mike,

thanks for the further information, I suspected a sleeve badge as I googled it and the cap seems to have a wreath and SVC above the Armoured car.

kind regards

Iain
