Default Royal Ulster Constabulary cap

Hello! I have this RUC cap...I have read that the colour of the RUC uniform it was dark green (rifle green), but so a lighter shade of green was introduced following the Hunt reforms of the early 1970s...so what do you think about this cap...pre or post 1970??...thank you!

The interior of the cap indicates that it was made by Try & Lilly of Liverpool. They held the RUC contract right up to the change of name to PSNI. So, I would date this cap to just prior to the name change. It does not pre-date the Hunt Report.

Dave.
