Default unusual collar badge

hi all
picked this up in a box of badges and have never seen any aussie badge like it.
in the pics it looks cast but its not metal, it looks to be plastic, kind of like the economy british badges of ww2.
anyone seen anything like it? and shed some light on it
cheers

Found another one. This time a hat badge size 39th.
I think it’s probably bakelite.
Has anyone else seen anything like it before and or can shed some lite on them.
Cheers

Thanks Tony, but I know what the badge is representing but the genuine badges are die struck brass +/- enamel.
The question I’m asking is has anyone seen them in bakelite like the 2 examples I show.
