Default Early SAP belt and buckle variations

This is a very early and rare belt and buckle and has the manufacturing date of 1914 stamped on it.

Hi William, a very nice set of buckles. I have one that has me puzzled for a long time. The centre and outside are not the same. The outside is ZA Politie and the inside is SA Poliesie. They don't look like 2 different buckles. Maybe made in error as they changed over? Tell me what you think. Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Possibly an error or a surplus of the old "outer buckles" that the manufacturer had left and used them for cost-savers when the new language was incorporated into the badges and design?

A very unique piece!
