Default PILOTS WING – HELP APPRECIATED

Can any Forum member help to identify the nationality of what I believe to be a Pilots wing, possibly European, maybe World War One?

Any ideas, greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Hello Steve.

Many thanks for your help. Greatly appreciated.

Can I ask you if this would have been worn on the tunic breast or is it some kind of arm badge?

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Hi
I have only seen it worn on the pocket. They were unofficial ,but it was common place for pilots to wear such badges to enhance there uniform.
Most tended to opt for the gold fix eagles ...see Pandis book on allied aviation badges.
Cheers
Steve
