Default Argyle and Sutherland

Hi, could I get some opinions on this Argyle badge please. It looks to have been gilded but with a strange tinge of almost olive green. Any thoughts welcome.

Its just discoloured, either by nature or by an application of something such as old varnish.

Just clean it.

A perfectly good badge that just has some corrosion on it. Depending on the exact composition of the metal used (which did vary to some degree) and how it was stored, some white metal badges will acquire a rust like discoloration over time.

Thank you very much CB and Simon for your comments. I am happy that the badge is genuine. Apologies to anyone else for spelling Argyll wrong.
Regards, Jim.
