unusual rising sun sweethearts/trench art?

hi all
what are your thoughts on this badge?
ww1?
sweethearts or trench art?
its hard to see, but there is a silver coloured 10 and 51 either side of the coat of arms.
is this a 10btn man who transferred into the 51btn?
either way, is pretty well made
