Default ID Help on Some Buttons

Hello,

This is my first post to this forum

I bought a couple hundred buttons a week or two ago and have been able to identify most of them. There are still a bunch I can't figure out though. I've taken a picture of one grouping and hope you nice people can help me ID them.

I have more to ID but not enough to where I think it's worth purchasing a book. I don't plan on becomming a collector. I'd just like to know what I have.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tom

Thank you Tom
I will identify 3 for you.
The one with CADC on it is the Canadian Army Dental Corps
The smaller one with rearing horse is the Royal Canadian Army Electrical & Mechanical Corps, & the eagle is the Royal Irish Fusiliers which was worn by the Irish Fusiliers of Vancouver, The Royal Irish being a British Army unit. The latter is a very nice button & sought after by Canadian button collectors. Ray

Default ID Buttons

Hello Tom - The lion over crown is The Royal West Kent Regiment 1902-1952, the white metal crown over anchor as a Rating's blouse button of The Royal Navy 1902-1952. The others seem to be foreign naval buttons, except the shell-like design which is of middle-eastern origin. Best wishes. David

Hi Ray,

The Dental Corps I believe is British as the monogram is ADC rather than CADC, also the REME one could quite easily be British also.

Could the one with the rising sun above the anchor be Australian Navy?

Cheers,

Luke

Default Wow

You guys are awesome

Only a couple mysteries left in that bunch. I am impressed!

I had visited Kellybadge and used it extensively to ID many of the other buttons I have. I didn't think to look in the shipping area.

With regard to the button in the lower right, I have shown the back of a similar button. Does the "Extra Fein" on the back indicate German manufacture?

I hope you guys dont mind if I post a few more.

Thanks again & Regards,

Tom
