I collect middle east insignia as does Cliff Lord who wrote some books on the subect. I have seen Cliff post on this forum too. I will scan and post some stuff when I get some time.

P

click on "thread tools" at top of the thread, then select "subscribe to this thread", and then pick your notification method. (instant email notification?)

You delete subscriptions in userCP when you have had enough.

you can set your user preference to automatically subscribe to threads you post in:

User CP -> Edit Options -> Default Thread Subscription Mode

(although if you post in lot of threads then it will probably feel like you are spamming yourself!)

Hi -- I was reading the forum with interest re the TOS. I served in the TOS from 1965 to 1967 in the Signals. Some of my old mates and I are having 40 year reunion in November. I was anxious to trace, if possible, some TOS badges. My own were handed back in when I left 40 years ago. If I cannot get hold of any I may get a silversmith friend of mine to make up some for the reunion. To add to the sense of occasion we plan to dress up in our old shemaghes while we watch a set of nostalgic 35mm slides of us as 22 year old lads, with our old radios out in the desert -- and probably drink far too much beer!

Default TOS Badges

These were made by the same man, Naim Sheik Adam, who made all the TOS badges. Sadly I no longer have the gold cufflinks in the shape of crossed Khunjas which were thicker bladed than the TOS Officer's Badge.

Thanks Steve - 'GWT' = ? (Gurkha Welfare Trust perhaps) It would be great to know if he has any TOS photos which could be added to
http://www.flickr.com/groups/tos/pool/ - if he has any photos let me know and he can email them to me and I will do the necessary plus I can put him in touch with the TOS Association should he so wish.
