Default Unidentified regimental flash

Hello,
Does somebody know what this (regimental?) flash is?
It is made of three separate bits of felt glued on a cloth base.
Thanks for any help.

These were the only identifying badges allowed from D-Day (6 Jun 44) on, in order to prevent the Germans gaining useful intelligence about units opposing them. The intent was to make the recognition of 'function' immediately identifiable to our own side so the strips were worn on both arms.
