Nottinghamshire perhaps?

The old 1st Notts (Robin Hood) RVC helmet plates and belts used a monogram. Then when 3rd V.B. their fsc badge was a blackened more spaced out monogram.

The coronet is that of an Earl and there is an Earl of Nottingham.

I have one and thought initially it was Norfolk Volunteer Regiment, however I think it is National Volunteer Rifles or Rifle Volunteers.

Andrew,

I have, as you might expect, a couple of these in my collections. They accompany my National Volunteer Reserve button hole badge, which is a very different design overall but the same cypher. I also have the cloth title...

Tim
