Default Introduction

Hello!

I've only been one this forum for a couple of days, and nowt hat I have some free time, I thought I may as well introduced myself. I'm Conan (my real name), from England, and am 15 years old. Over the last six months, I have begun collecting military clothing, and have a strong interest in re-creating 50s-present day uniforms. However, as I am still young, I have not served in the forces, and so will probably be asking lots of questions about patching up uniforms. In addition, there is still 6 months until I am able to get a job at the local Co-op, so at the moment everything I do is £10 a month... But slow and steady wins the race, eh?
So far, my collection mainly comprises of Warsaw Pact NBC gear (I make them authentic, so get the gas mask that matches the suit), but I also have a DPM British NBC suit, so will be getting an S10 gas mask soon to complete that.
The outfit I am making at the moment is a 1995-whenever MTP was introduced RGR Lance Corporal impression. Next thing I will be buying for this is the rifle green beret. All I will need after that are some original boots, TRF patch, and maybe the tartan patch.

Outside of this, I'm currently studying for my GCSEs in May. I've already taken English and Astronomy, early. This year I will be taking Maths, Economics, Business, Sociology and Computer Science. I've applied to get into Sixth Form to study A-Level Economics, Government & Politics, Business and Sociology. After this, I'll be old enough the hopefully join the reserves.

Sorry for writing so much but hopefully I'll get to know some of you well.

Conan
