Default Heavily Silvered DCLI Cap Badge

I have had this Cap Badge of the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry for about 20 years,it is very heavily Silvered and at one time someone has acid tested the slider. There is no sign of any hallmarks but it is a quality item and weighs 18.4 grammes.Has anybody got anything similar or any information on this badge.Cheers Bob.
