Default Victorian brass badge help

Hi could anyone help ID this Victorian brass badge it looks to be cast with cut off copper post on the reverse any help much appreciated

Cool Horse furniture

I think this is a general pattern from the Victorian era by the cypher, probably worn by the Household Cavalry.
