Default Oxford White Metal Shoulder Title

Hi all,

I have come across a few of these titles (for disclosure I will be moving some on). They are not something I have come across before. I was wondering if they were related to volunteers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

James

Hi James

I asked a similar question about the Devon version, but never really came to any conclusion except that they are probably not Volunteer related.

Default White metal titles

I have had these in the past and they are certainly not volunteer titles, Fire Brigade, ambulance service have been suggested, but maybe photographic evidence will prove what they are.

I would say for whatever reason they were made it was short lived.

Hi all,

Thanks very much for the comments. They came with some WW1 Era titles so thought I had better ask.

Kind regards,

James

I have several of these county titles and have not been able to pin down what they are but have been told that they are not Police, Fire service or St. John's.
Just to confuse it a bit more how about this brass territorial

Neil,

Fiarly sure they are St. Johns Ambulance Association or St. Johns Ambulance Brigade shoulder titles.

Here is a display featuring them along with the familiar white metal numbered SJAB titles.

Not conclusivve but clearly put together by someone collecting the organisation with possibly more knowledge than us.

best wishes

I have this white metal SOMERSET title. It was previously identified as St John Ambulance related.
