Italian Carabinieri Badge, WW2?
Hi all. I have come into possession of this badge. It appears to be related to the Carabinieri from the Fascist period, however I don't know anything else about it. Is anyone able to provide any further information?
Thanks in advance. James |

That is the coat of arms of the Carabinieri, as of 1935.
http://www.carabinieri.it/arma/curio...dico-1935/1935 The two "nails" at the back suggest that is was fixed on a wooden plate and was not a piece of uniform. |

It wouldn't do the enamel much good if you hammered it into a bit of wood, the pins could be bent over to fit it onto a piece of leather?

What size are the "pins" ?
They look similar to clutch pins which were definitely used on some WW2 American badges and could possibly have been on Italian badges in the 1940's/early 1950's. https://hglanham.tripod.com/metalins...gclutches.html .
