G.Q Parachutist Badge

I've seen various versions of the G.Q parachute company badge but I wonder if anyone could tell me what the approximate age of this particular one might be ? It's in a white metal (no hallmarks) but stamped Parachutist. Would this indicate it was awarded for an actual jump rather than given to an empoyee ?
Any advise would be helpful
