Could an expert please tell me what cloth shoulder title would have been worn on BD c 1943/44 by 1 Bucks Bn (163 Inf Bde, 54 (East Anglian) Inf Div and later in 6 Beach Group and T Force. Many thanks. Mike

Hi Mike
I was told a while ago they wore the T Bucks metal title during WW2, however on www.lightbobs.com (you may have to scroll down for the menu) it appears they wore the Regimental Flash, a Triangle Black/Red as the C.O. was unhappy with the white on red cloth titles due to them being a Rifles Bn, the W on R may have been wore if they were employed away from the Bn. Paul and Steve,
Thank you both very much. There's certainly no cloth title to be seen in this image (1 Bucks Bn, 6 Beach group on 7 Jun 44). Mike 1 Bucks_6 Beach Gp_Queen_Sword Beach_7 Jun 44.jpg |
